Beer – A Cookbook: Good Food Made Better with Beer

I could not get over the chicken at the BBQ so I started to look around for some other books about cooking with beer.  Now don't get me wrgourmae beer cookingong their are tons of them.  However I came across this one that had good reviews [See one review below] and have decided to pass it along.  It is on my buy list as son as I can.  I will give my take on it as soon as I do.

Building on the concept of The Spaghetti Sauce Gourmet and The Gourmet's Guide to Cooking with Wine, this book shows how to use beer, ale, stouts, ciders, and nonalcoholic brews such as ginger and root beer as a convenience ingredient that will add nuanced flavor and earthy flair to your cooking and baking repertoire.

Why? Beer, like wine, is versatile.

It can be used with nearly every type of food. Use it to marinate meats, flavor stews, punch up sauces for fish, chicken, pasta, vegetables, and take desserts from standard to savvy.

This is a very simple and easy to use recipe book containing recipes for cooking with, what else, beer.   Everything is covered from appetizers to main dishes right through to desserts.   There are several recipes that I plan on trying out and will attempt to do a future update on those attempts.   I also like the simple board book type of presentation.   This will work great if a person spills something on the book while cooking,  like beer!

Contains 48 damn-good dishes made with your favorite ingredient: beer.  Spicy Beer-Soaked Shrimp, Sauced Meatballs, Drunk Cheddar Soup, Pub Chops Beer-Buttered Steak, Tailgate Salmon, Three-Beer Chili, Chocolate Stout Lava Cake.
